We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our team in the United States, this is a remote role preferably in CST or EST.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review the terms and conditions presented on customer contracts, including Order Forms and Master Service Agreement, to identify any non-standard arrangements and apply revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
- Collaborate with stakeholders outside the revenue accounting team (including sales, order administration, legal, product development) to gain understanding of specific customer contracts.
- Process customer contracts in Workday by setting up proper billing and revenue recognition schedules
- Invoice customers accurately on a timely basis, as needed
- Manage communication with customers regarding inquires related to invoicing
- Create ad-hoc reports related to billing, collections and revenue
- Assist with internal and external audit requests, including quarterly reviews and the year-end audit
- Support compliance-related tasks associated with Sarbanes-Oxley; including performing walkthroughs, and providing input to changes in process flowcharts
- Stay current on ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent to meet the requirements sit for CPA exam.
- Experience understanding customer contracts and setting up billing schedules
- Experience researching and resolving accounts receivable and billing issues
- Strong work ethic and communication skills and positive mindset
- Ability to work in a global context, with business users in different locations world-wide
- Workday Financials & Salesforce Experience is preferred.
