Experienced Make ready Technician for Rental Apartments (Handyman)

Onesta' Corporation is the parent company of a small group of local businesses that are all related to the Real Estate sales, property management, and property maintenance industry. We are currently hiring for an experienced member of our Trust 'n' Us Services Maintenance Team. This is a full time hourly position.

The chosen candidate must also be willing and available to serve as "after-hours on-call" technician on a rotational assignment. This is usually one week (a full seven calendar days) per every 6-8 weeks.

We are seeking a skilled, motivated team member who is reliable and not afraid to get hot and dirty. Some days assignments are more challenging than others. Our team performs a variety of services from easy apartment make-ready's to complex rehabs for several local property management and real estate companies.

Applicants MUST be authorized to work legally in the United States and MUST have a current and valid Texas Driver's License.

All Onesta' employees are expected to communicate well in writing and verbally in English and are subject to periodic and random drug testing.

Applicant must have a clean/neat/professional appearance.

You will travel daily in a company provided vehicle and use company provided tools and equipment. The successful candidate will be able to independently complete the follow types of work orders:

• Sheetrock repairs, including cut-in, tape, float, texture match and paint.
• Minor plumbing-type repairs such as fill valve/flapper replacements, faucet change out, caulk removal/replacement and diagnosing more serious plumbing issues which clearly require a licensed plumber.
• Securely hanging of towel bars and toilet paper holders,door stop, hinge stops, switch plate change outs.
• Minor HVAC-type repairs including blowing out of drain lines, installing thermostats, etc.
• Extensive painting knowledge with roller, brush and commercial spray rig.
• Experience driving a pickup with a loaded trailer (2 years).
• This short list is considered the minimum requirements and should NOT be considered all inclusive of the job requirements.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will:

• Possess strong work ethic, the ability to multi task and impeccable attention to details
• Understands the importance of teamwork, who is cooperative and easy to work with
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to keep accurate records of parts used, parts needed, etc.
• Has the ability to manage hectic, unusual and stressful situations with ease/sense of humor
• Be reliable and show up when assigned to show up for work
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable source of transportation
• Be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Be available to work on call as part of a rotating on-call schedule (typically 1 week per every 6 weeks) for after hours coverage of emergency situations (boarding up windows, etc.)
• Is willing to undergo drug testing to ensure safety requirements are met on our job site
