Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced RN NICU Travel Nurse to join our team. As a Neonatal Intensive Care Travel Nurse, you'll care for premature and critically ill newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of a hospital. Your primary responsibility will be to connect these babies to life-saving technology, allowing them to breathe and receive intravenous feedings, which enables them to gain weight. Under the direction of a physician, you'll provide exceptional care to these vulnerable patients and educate their mothers about their baby's condition, breastfeeding, and other essential topics.
Key Responsibilities: Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Caring for premature and critically ill newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
- Providing critical care and education to families during a very difficult time
- Working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for each patient
