Large Format Sales Manager

POSITION TITLE: Large Format Sales Manager

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Oversee and supervise all aspects of sales, routing and merchandising to Bulk Accounts (large format).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. Day-to-day activity of product being sold to large format accounts.

2. Work with distribution to oversee the delivery of product to large format accounts.

3. Oversee merchandising: routing, schedules, training

4. Monitor and track update Sales Volume on VIP, daily.

5. Provide information for all special promotional activities at chain supermarkets and communicate to Inventory Database Manager, Sales Manager and ensure pricing is correctly set-up.

6. Meet with Pre-Salesmen and Merchandiser Manager daily to discuss current activity in department.

7. Review man power activity, daily.

8. Route delivery schedules for Bulk Drivers.

9. Meet with Chain Super Market Regional Manager and Market Managers on a regular basis.

10. Weekly visits to large format stores to monitor work product and meet with managers at store level.

11. Maintain good rapport and customer relationships.

12. Schedule and conduct sales meetings, safety meetings.

13. Attend required meetings via in person or teleconference.

14. Conduct ride-along with Pre-Salesmen.

15. Respond to customer phone calls including weekends.

16. Assist with preselling and merchandising

17. Recruit, interview, hire, discipline and terminate employees when necessary.

18. Conduct and submit weekly reports and other reports to Sales Manager.

19. Review inventory and provide input for ordering product for upcoming promotional events at stores.

20. Communicate special promotions and new items to sales team.

21. Complete all employee paperwork for Payroll and Human Resources in a timely manner.

22. Work with all departments and communicate and resolve issues that affect deliveries.

23. Coordinate and monitor Hot-Shot orders and deliveries.

24. Manage and track employee vacation schedules

25. Conduct presentations to upper-level management at large format stores.

26. Conduct investigations for any safety incidents or accidents and submit reports.

27. Follows all safety operations, and Company Vehicle and Equipment policies.

28. Performs other functions or duties as directed by management in line with the objectives of Oneta Company.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.

· 3 years of beverage industry and DSD (Direct Sales Deliver) format structure.

· 8 years of direct industry related experience in upper management role may substitute for college degree

· Experience in logistics and scheduling of transportation routes

· Ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently

· Ability to handle employee related issues

· Excellent verbal and written skills

· Ability to communicate in a professional manner with all types and levels of people

· Knowledge of Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Basic math skills

· Ability to learn new software, systems and procedures

· Knowledge of DOT, Safety, employment related laws

WORKING AND ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS

· Some office sedentary work

· Mostly out in the field

· Extreme hot/cold conditions depending on weather

· Fast paced – high activity work environment working safely around shoppers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Walking / standing up to 8 hours

· Stooping, bending, reaching, repeatedly

· Pushing / pulling up to 50 lbs

· In and out of vehicle all day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
