Full Time - Direct Support Professional 12hr Shift (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) Garner, Iowa

One Vision is seeking to hire Full - Time, Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our new 12-hour shift schedule model. We are excited to bring a new work schedule which supports work life balance for our team members. This schedule provides you with a 3-day work week and more scheduled days off, ability to plan for vacations because the schedule is consistent and working fewer days and still have full time benefits. A typical schedule would be 3 blocked 12-hour shifts. We have options of a Front End block consisting of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or a Back End Block of Thursday, Friday, Saturday. With hours beginning between 4 am -8 am and ending between 4 pm - 8 pm based on the needs of the home. As a Direct Support Professional, you support individuals with daily living skills including housekeeping, laundry, cooking, personal hygiene, and self-administration of medications. While supporting people with disabilities, you learn about their individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning, motivation, and likes and dislikes. You encourage community engagement by driving the individuals you support to appointments and leisure activities in addition to supporting them with finances and grocery shopping. Requirements No experience necessary! We provide necessary on-the-job training to care for our individuals. Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills are needed to complete documentation. Provide a current driver's license and proof of insurance. Requires some physical activity bending, kneeling, stooping. Lifting or use of lifts for some individuals. Offer of employment is contingent upon a background check, drug screen, and physical assessment to occasionally lift to 50 pounds.
