About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver to join our team at Rambo Marine - Smith Lake, RSL. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting boats to and from various locations in a safe and timely manner. This will often include operating the boats to maneuver to the trailer. You will be required to operate a variety of vehicles, including pick up trucks, forklifts, tractors, boats, etc. while adhering to DOT regulations and transportation management guidelines. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Boating experience
- Excellent driving record
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Experience with towing and backing trailers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with local roads and routes.
- Ability to operate a forklift or other warehouse equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to DOT regulations and transportation management guidelines to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service
Skills:
As a Driver, you will be required to use a variety of skills on a daily basis. You will need to have excellent driving skills and a strong understanding of DOT regulations and transportation management guidelines. You will also need to be able to read maps and follow directions, as well as communicate effectively with customers and team members. Additionally, you may be required to operate warehouse equipment, so experience with warehousing and inventory management is a plus. Overall, this role requires a high level of attention to detail, safety, and customer service.
