This position is based in the Jetplex Industrial Park near Huntsville International Airport.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team and support OneWater Marine Brand's financial operations. This newly created role will report to the CFO of OneWater Marine Brands and will focus on financial analysis, accounting, reconciliations, forecasting, budgeting, internal reporting, audit support, and system optimization. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in transforming and enhancing the finance function to drive intelligent decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis & Reconciliation:
- Collaborate with the VP of Accounting and CFO on financial analysis, modeling, and reporting to support business operations.
- Identify financial issues, assess their business impact, and recommend proactive solutions.
- Gain expertise in the various systems across the brands and facilitate knowledge transfer to others.
- Accounting, Audit & Control:
- Support month-end close activities, including detailed P&L reviews and high-risk account reconciliations.
- Own control documentation and ensure proper consolidation of SOX narratives, including remediation of process gaps.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing support for interim and year-end procedures.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering:
- Assist in managing and developing the annual budget, offering detailed analysis to drive data-informed decisions.
- Support
themid-cycle forecast processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of forecast inputs. - Collaborate with budget owners for accurate reporting and variance analysis, helping drive improvements.
- Monitor expenses against budget and forecast, providing reports and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Help build and maintain a high-performance team focused on accountability and trust.
- Lead analytical efforts across teams within OneWater Marine Brands.
- Ensure the accuracy of internal and external reports, identifying and addressing data discrepancies.
- Perform additional tasks as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is required, Master’s degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or a
seniorfinancial analyst role is preferred. - Strong background in planning, accounting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools.
- Excellent business acumen with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities, gain stakeholder buy-in, and implement solutions.
