POSITION SUMMARY

The lot manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of their respective lot ensuring all boats and equipment is properly stored, displayed, and in great condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 


Duties (Most Important to Least Important)

Oversee the receiving, storing, and tracking of boats ensuring accurate inventory records. Oversee the day-to-day operation of the lot. 

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient lot that allows for a safe, easy to access display of all products. 

Supervise and manage a team of lot associates ensuring all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently. 

Promote a continuous learning environment. Provide training to team members as needed. 

Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are being followed. Ensure all equipment is being used and stored properly. 

Inspect boats and equipment for damage, cleanliness, and readiness for display or delivery. Handle any damages as needed. 

Assist service and sales departments for boat deliveries as needed. 

Oversee the maintenance of lot equipment, such as forklifts. Ensure all equipment is upkept and working properly. 

Assist with customer inquiries or direct to appropriate departments. Ensure all customers receive excellent service. 

Maintain records of lot activities such as boat deliveries, customer interactions, etc.. to share with other departments as needed. 

Any other duties as assigned. 

 

SKILLS  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in managing a team and delegating tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment.
  • Knowledge of boats and marine equipment. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in lot management, inventory control, or a similar role. 
  • Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
