OVERVIEW:
Denison Yachting stands out in the yachting industry for its fresh approach to marketing - we’re not afraid to test new ideas, embrace creativity, and break away from the traditional, stuffy mold of our competitors. The Email Marketing Specialist will take ownership of the design, strategy, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns, supporting broker outreach, client engagement, promotional campaigns, newsletters, and automated workflows while managing email reputation and list health.
This role works closely with the Marketing Director, CRM Manager, and Creative Team to ensure all campaigns reflect Denison’s brand and deliver measurable results. We use HubSpot as the primary email marketing platform. While experience with HubSpot is preferred, training will be provided. The Email Marketing Specialist is expected to become an expert in HubSpot’s tools and use them to improve processes, develop strategies, and deliver impactful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Design and Development:
• Create responsive, visually engaging, and brand-aligned email designs using HTML/CSS and HubSpot Block Editing.
• Collaborate with the Creative Team to develop and update email templates based on evolving best practices.
• Enhance email designs with visual content using Adobe Photoshop or similar tools.
Campaign Strategy and Execution:
• Develop, test, and deploy broker emails, promotional emails, newsletters, and automated campaigns (e.g., nurture sequences, trigger-based workflows).
• Leverage insights and industry benchmarks to improve audience segmentation, personalization, and overall campaign effectiveness.
• Establish a clear process for scheduling, approving, and executing email campaigns across teams.
List Management and Database Health:
• Organize, maintain, and segment email lists to optimize targeting and improve deliverability.
• Monitor and report on database health, addressing bounces and maintaining sending reputation.
• Regularly review and improve data quality within the email marketing system.
Email Automation and Optimization:
• Develop and manage autoresponder, nurture, and trigger campaigns to engage prospects and clients at every stage of the sales funnel.
• Collaborate with the CRM team to implement workflows and improve integration between email and HubSpot CRM.
• Continuously identify and execute opportunities for automation to streamline processes and enhance user experience.
Process Improvement:
• Evaluate and recommend new processes to enhance the efficiency of the email request system, ensuring clear communication and prioritization across teams.
• Work with stakeholders to refine workflows and simplify the email development pipeline.
Analysis and Reporting:
• Track, analyze, and report on email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
• Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement A/B tests and optimization strategies.
• Present actionable findings to the marketing team and stakeholders to inform future campaigns.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner with teams across key business areas, including New Boat Sales, Brokerage, Charter Retail, Charter Management, West Coast Operations, European Operations, and Partnerships, to ensure email campaigns effectively target and support their specific objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 3 years in email marketing, with hands-on experience in email design, automation, and reporting.
Technical Skills:
• Expertise in HTML/CSS for responsive email design.
• Proficiency in HubSpot (or similar platforms), campaign tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and CRM systems.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop or other design software.
Strategic Thinking: Strong understanding of audience segmentation, personalization, and email marketing best practices.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, provide actionable insights, and communicate performance results.
Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure campaigns are error-free and effective.
Process Improvement: Experience identifying and implementing new workflows or tools to improve team efficiency.
Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing strategies.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
