About the Role:
As a Yard Foreman at Walker's Marine - Fishtale, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the yard, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will be expected to manage a team of yard workers, delegating tasks and providing guidance as needed. Your main goal will be to maintain a safe and organized work environment, while also ensuring that all boats and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the marine industry
- Familiarity with boat maintenance and repair
- Experience with inventory management
- Forklift certification
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of yard workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of boats and equipment, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service
Skills:
