Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to the nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Support individuals with dementia care and memory care strategies to enhance their comfort and security.
- Advocate for resident rights, ensuring that each individual is treated with dignity and respect.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a group home or home health setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for individuals' needs.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices and memory care techniques is a plus.
- Basic nursing skills, including the ability to take vital signs and understand care plans.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- A caring attitude with a passion for helping others achieve their highest level of independence.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
