Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence and personal growth.
- Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families and care teams.
- Monitor and document health status, including vital signs and medication administration.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Support clients in social activities and community engagement to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all individuals under your care.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each individual.
Qualifications
- Experience working in group homes or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to assist with medication administration and monitor health status effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate attitude towards individuals with disabilities, promoting dignity and respect.
- Basic understanding of long-term care practices is beneficial but not required.
