Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with varying needs, including those with disabilities or health challenges. Your primary goal will be to enhance the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance social engagement.
- Monitor and document patient behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences while ensuring cleanliness in food preparation areas.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring clients can safely navigate their environment.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs, including dementia care strategies when applicable.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Administer CPR and first aid as necessary in emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in direct support or patient care is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of home health practices and patient monitoring techniques is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills to effectively monitor client well-being and report changes accurately.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals while adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences of clients.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is acceptable.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
