The Quick Sick Clinic off 30th and L in Omaha, NE and the Family Practice satellite clinics in Bellevue, Nebraska and Northwest Omaha, Nebraska are each looking for an experienced, full-time Physician Assistant to help us achieve our goal of providing excellent healthcare to the underserved in our community.

The PA works as part of the medical provider team performing a variety of direct primary care services to patients.  This includes physical examinations, assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans, medication management, lab review, and/or referrals including hospitalization when necessary.  The PA also monitors the general management plan for assigned patients.  The PA performs these functions under the general supervision of a licensed physician.  

These are three full-time positions (40 hours/week), one located at our Quick Sick Clinic off 30th & L in Omaha, NE, one at the Family Practice clinic in Northwest Omaha, and one at the Family Practice Clinic in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.   Degree must be from an accredited school whose program is recognized by the state.
• License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Nebraska required.  (Or license eligible.)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Two or more years of clinical experience either preferred or required, depending on clinic location.
• Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required; experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred.
• Proficiency in English required.
• Proficiency in Spanish either preferred or required, depending on clinic location.  If required, must be able to speak enough Spanish to examine Spanish-speaking patients and converse on a basic level.
• Demonstrated ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to culturally diverse patients as well as other OWCHC providers and staff members.
