This role will help lay the groundwork for managing our network-as-a-code and expand functionality to include clouds and other interconnect fabrics. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in network automation and network infrastructure and proficiency utilizing automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.

Responsibilities:

• Implement automation strategies using tools such as Ansible and Arista Cloudvision to streamline network management, provisioning, and maintenance.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and work to eliminate manual tasks within the network team.
• Improve monitoring of our global network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Work with various IT teams and identify and implement automation to streamline various tasks.
• Assist network team with a variety of network management tasks as needed.
• Develop and maintain network automation documentation and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (5 years) in network automation and management.
• Proficiency with network automation playbooks using Ansible, Chef, Napalm, Nornir. Previous experience with IOS/EOS and FortiOS Ansible modules.
• Experience with modern infrastructure CI/CD (expert knowledge of Git and various deployment tools)
• Network observability competence using tools such as vendor-native, DataDog and other industry standards.
• Proficiency with a scripting language such as Python. Golang knowledge is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) is preferred.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and ability to communicate efficiently via the ticket updates

The salary range for this role is $160,000.00 to $190,000.00 depending on relevant experience.
