Automation Maintenance - Warehouse Technician

Schedule typically Friday-Sunday 6pm to Finish

Must be flexible when peak seasons arrive

Pay Rate: $24.41

Our Opportunity:

As a Maintenance - Mechanic Technician you will assist all departments in repairing and maintaining all equipment. You will be responsible for expert repair and maintenance of the mechanical and basic electrical operational equipment in the clients facility.

Automation/Industrial Maintenance experience whether its Electrical or Mechanical

Job duties will include the following:

• Analyzes and diagnoses equipment problems and breakdowns
• Recommends the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems
• Makes appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems as dictated by the analysis of the equipment
• Performs scheduled equipment maintenance
• Follows all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies as dictated by the company
• Documents each service call, providing necessary paperwork
• Observes all safety procedures, makes certain that hazardous waste is properly disposed
• Maintains the company service vehicles in a clean, orderly and hazard-free manner to include performing regular maintenance
• Secures and maintains service and parts inventory in the company service vehicle
• Keeps the work area clean and hazard-free
• Other duties as required and assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5 years mechanical/electrical experience
• One year certificate from college / technical school or 2 years related experience and or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability and willingness to work 12 hour shifts and overtime as needed
• Dependable, conscientious and team player

Desirable:

• Logistics Industry
• Strong diagnosis, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and bagging machines preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of the Mechanic Technician position, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must also be able to work 10-12 hour shifts regularly with occasional extended shifts not to exceed 18 hours.
