Key Responsibilities
- Record Financial Transactions: Maintain accurate financial records of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
- Reconcile Accounts: Verify the accuracy of financial records by reconciling bank statements, invoices, and expense reports.
- Prepare Financial Reports: Generate balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents to provide insights into the company’s financial health.
- Manage Payroll Processing: Handle employee payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, including tax deductions and benefits.
- Monitor Budgets and Expenses: Assist in tracking company expenses, preparing budget reports, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Process Invoices and Payments: Ensure vendors and suppliers are paid on time, manage client invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist accountants in preparing financial records for tax filing and audits.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies
Work Experience
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of financial principles and bookkeeping best practices.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) and financial management software.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience
- Required: High school diploma or GED
- Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
