What are the responsibilities and job description for the Disc Room Operator position at Onin Staffing?
Set up and operate non-CNC machines and hand tools to produce precision components in a work-cell environment, adhering to quality and safety standards while maintaining a clean workspace. Responsibilities include washing, drying, and marking each disc with identification numbers, packaging them per customer specifications, and staging for shipping. This position supports the aerospace industry, requiring 100% inspection. Essential functions include:
- Maintain confidentiality of manufacturing processes and records.
- Wash and dry discs using automated equipment.
- Apply identification numbers through electro-etching or rubber stamping.
- Package discs according to specifications for shipping.
- Utilize hand tools and manual machines as needed.
- Rotate between work centers and perform related tasks.
- Conduct self-inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and complete documentation.
- Deburr and smooth metal parts using hand tools.
- Monday-Friday 3:00p-1:00am $13/hr
Work Experience
- Ability to read prints and specifications
- High school-level language, math, and computer skills
