Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Driver Helpers to join our team! As a Driver Helper, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of heavy products such as appliances and exercise equipment to homes and new construction sites. You will work alongside the driver to load and unload trucks using equipment like two-wheel dollies and shoulder straps, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times. This is a physically demanding position, so applicants should be prepared for an active day on the job.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Early start time of 5 AM
- Up to 10 hours per day
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the driver with loading and unloading heavy products, including appliances and exercise equipment.
- Utilize a two-person assist system for handling heavy items, using two-wheel dollies and shoulder straps.
- Ensure proper placement and delivery of items to homes and construction sites.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the driver to ensure all deliveries are made on time.
- Provide excellent customer service to homeowners and construction site teams.
Work Experience
- Ability to lift heavy products (up to 400 lbs) with assistance.
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment for extended hours.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work early morning shifts (start time 5 AM).
- Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with drivers to complete deliveries.
- Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is a plus.
