What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finisher/Grinder Operator position at Onin Staffing?
Onin Staffing is seeking a skilled and motivated Finisher/Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate grinding equipment, prepare surfaces for finishing, and ensure that workpieces meet quality standards.
What you'll do as: Finisher/Grinder Operator
- Mounting/removing materials onto production equipment
- Operating grinding equipment
- Filing grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of metal objects
- Grinding, sanding, cleaning, or polishing objects or parts
- Measuring and marking equipment, objects, or parts
Work Experience
- 1-2 years experience using hand/power tools
- Experience in a metal object or auto-body repair
- Experience in a metal fabrication machine shop
- High School/GED preferred
- Workkeys Level 3 in Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and grasp.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Must be able to wear a respirator, ear protection, safety glasses, or other PPE as required.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises, fluctuating temperatures, dust, and fumes.
