What You'll Do as Forklift Operator:
- Operating a forklift to load and unload materials, move products to storage areas, and supply production areas.
- Inspecting forklifts before use to ensure they are in proper working order and reporting any issues for repairs.
- Safely handling materials and ensuring that all products are moved without damage.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy by using an RF scanner to scan materials, updating records, and communicating with warehouse staff.
- Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and securing materials for transport.
- Following safety regulations for operating machinery and working within the warehouse environment.
- Contributing to general warehouse tasks such as packing, labeling, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Good Computer skills such as data entry, familiar with a warehouse management system. Teammates will need these skills to update inventory and to complete audits.
Work Experience
What You Bring to the Team:
- Previous experience operating a forklift (typically 3 years).
- A valid forklift operator certification.
- Basic understanding of inventory control systems.
- Ability to lift (up to 40 lbs) and work in various warehouse conditions.
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
