Onin is seeking a motivated HVAC Technical Support Specialist for a great opportunity in Spartanburg, SC!
About the Role:
In this role, you will provide critical technical support to customers and field technicians, diagnosing and resolving complex HVAC system issues. You'll utilize your in-depth knowledge of HVAC principles, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques to deliver timely and accurate solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a customer-centric approach will be essential to your success.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Pay: $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience.
- Work Schedule: Monday -Friday, 8am-5pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide phone technical support to customers troubleshooting cooling units
- Ability to read and walk another technician through a wiring diagram
- Clearly explain the operation and sequence of equipment.
- Strong computer skills needed to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to customer issues.
- Diagnose and repair returned units; communicate to customer if necessary repairs are under warranty
- Be able to find and use resources for technical information. This can include local drives, stored databases, and the internet.
- Able to demonstrate leadership skills and take ownership of customer issues reported.
- Commitment, focus, and follow-through needed to see problems through to resolution
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
- Excellent written communication skills to ensure proper recording of all customer interactions and closure of all presented issues.
- Great written communication skills needed to prepare accurate, clear, and timely reports.
Work Experience
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years' experience in the HVAC field preferred.
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting and electrical skills.
- Ability to read schematics and effectively communicate them to technicians in the field.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills to communicate in a clear, friendly manner.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
