We are seeking an experienced Industrial Sewer to join our team in producing high-quality signs, banners, and canopies. The ideal candidate will have experience operating industrial sewing machines and working with heavy-duty fabrics. This role involves sewing, assembling, and finishing large-scale signage and canopy materials while ensuring precision and durability in every stitch.
Work Experience
- Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and assemble canopies, banners, and other fabric-based signage.
- Change out thread and adjust machine settings based on project requirements.
- Inspect materials for defects and ensure all seams and stitches meet quality standards.
- Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and measurements to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain and troubleshoot sewing machines, including basic maintenance and cleaning.
- Cut, hem, and reinforce fabric as needed.
- Collaborate with production team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Industrial sewing experience is preferred, particularly with heavy-duty fabrics such as vinyl, canvas, or mesh.
- Ability to change out thread and adjust settings on industrial sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, measurements, and patterns.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for sewing machine maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
