- Cutting: Use a laser to cut parts from materials like plastic, wood, rubber, and metal
- Setting up: Select lenses, load programs, and set machine parameters
- Adjusting: Set the stop location and focal point of the laser beam
- Maintaining: Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and dimensional inspections
- Quality control: Check parts for accuracy and quality
- Shipping: Package and ship parts
- Reporting: Detect and report defective materials
- Organizing: Keep the work area clean and organized
- Assisting: Help other machine operators and departments
Physical demands
