Onin Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Technician in Huntsville, AL. This role seems ideal for someone with a strong technical background in industrial equipment repair and maintenance, a focus on safety and quality, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
2nd Shift: 8 PM to 4 AM
Payrate: $27 per hour
DUTIES:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (480V 3-phase), PLCs, and robotic systems.
- Repair mechanical systems, including electric motors, hydraulic pumps, valves, and conveyors.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on machines and equipment.
- Follow established safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Work overtime as needed and be willing to work on a first-shift schedule.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to ISO policies and safety standards.
Work Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with PLC/Electrical Controls, Robotics, and Electrical work.
- Technical certification in PLC/Electrical Controls, Robotics, and Electrical preferred.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Welding experience (SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW) is a plus.
- Manufacturing environment experience is a plus.
- Must have personal tools for the job.
Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems.
- Ability to understand technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment service.
- Adherence to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- The job requires physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 60 pounds, and using hands to manipulate tools and equipment.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The work environment can be noisy, requiring ear protection, and the production areas may be hot.
