Job Title: Maintenance Technician
This Position Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Primary Function of Position:
Assist and perform inspection, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mobile equipment and facilities/manufacturing equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and general building repairs.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on cranes, compressors, welders, and other shop tools used to manufacture large construction and mining equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Licensed or certified electrician would be a plus.
- Knowledge of high voltage/AC (120, 230, 277, and 480 volt) experience or knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and DC electric.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability and/or aptitude to perform heavy equipment assembly repair and maintenance (forklifts, press brakes, cranes).
- Troubleshooting experience with welders, MIG guns, and other small tools.
- Ability to perform simple repair welds.
- Must have basic knowledge of reading and writing and be able to read and understand warning and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of plumbing (PVC, Copper, and Black Pipe) is a plus.
