We are seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Machinist with expertise in operating manual lathes and milling machines. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings to produce precise machine parts. This role involves performing threading, drilling, tapping, and milling operations with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and comprehend detailed technical prints (drawings) to machine parts to exact specifications.
- Use a manual lathe to:
- Cut down material to the correct size.
- Perform single-point threading.
- Drill and tap holes as required by the print.
- Operate a manual milling machine to cut two wrench flats accurately.
- Utilize precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Complete machining tasks efficiently, with an estimated test completion time of 1.5 hours.
- Work with provided tooling and materials to execute tasks.
Work Experience
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months - 1 year Experience with Manual Lathe
- Proven experience in manual machining with both lathe and milling equipment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
