What You'll Do as a Mold Setter:
- Set up, align, and change tooling for molding equipment to ensure optimal production quality.
- Operate manufacturing equipment and PLCs to adjust, index, and prepare molds.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair molds, ensuring all components function properly.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
- Use hoists, power tools, and measurement devices for precise mold changes.
- Follow safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and emergency action plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation for mold maintenance and start-up approvals.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
Work Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Molding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machines, tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret safety warnings, work instructions, and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Lockout/Tagout training (preferred) and forklift certification (if required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods in a production environment.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools such as calipers and tape measures.
- Welding or soldering experience is a plus!
