Job Description
Punch Press Operator configures & operates electrically powered presses to cut, shape, and form metal, or other materials .
Pay $15.00-$17.00
Hours 6a-6p
Work Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up the Punch Press: Configuring the machine, calibrating gauge settings, and ensuring proper tooling is in place for the specific operation.
- Operating the Punch Press: Loading materials, feeding them through the die, positioning parts, and removing them from the die.
- Monitoring and Maintaining the Machine: Ensuring the press is operating efficiently, identifying and resolving any issues, and performing regular maintenance to keep it in good working order.
- Quality Control: Inspecting parts for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Safety: Following all safety protocols and procedures when operating the machine.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude: Understanding how the punch press works and how to troubleshoot issues.
- Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in setup and operation to achieve the desired results.
- Ability to read blueprints: Understanding and interpreting instructions to set up the machine correctly.
- Physical strength and stamina: Operating the machine and handling materials can be physically demanding.
- Safety consciousness: Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents.
