Operate or tend sewing machines to join, decorate, or perform related sewing operations in the manufacture of cubicle and bedding products. Responsibilities may also include as well as pack and fold. Inspect finished products to ensure product is manufactured to company and custom
Work Experience
1.- Sewing Skills (Preferred)
2.- Knowledge on the use of the following sewing industrial machines:
- Single needle lockstitch
- Double needle
- Safety stitch / overlock / serge
- Multi needle
- Walking foot
- Blind stitch
3.- Special tooling: Sewing folders / zipper foot / binding folders
4.- Selects thread according to specifications
5.- Place spool on spindle and draws thread through machine guides, tension devices, and needle eye.
6.- If applicable, inserts bobbin into shuttle and draws thread through slot in shuttle wall
7.- Sews items, checking for correct stitching, quality, and uniformity
8.- Calls department supervisor to report any needed repairs or machine adjustments
9.- Responsible for safety and good housekeeping practices around work areas
10.- Promptly completes any other duties and responsibilities designated by the department supervisor
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Good communication skills is necessary
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Processes require Standing Up for entire shift!!
Be able to work 40 hour shifts and overtime when needed
Must be able to bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Flexibility to work 1st Shift when required
