What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Assistant position at Onin Staffing?
Onin Staffing in Creedmoor is currently recruiting for a shop assistant for a client in Wake Forest that refurbishes electric motors. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining shop equipment, clean and prepare parts, and assist in any departments as needed. They are looking for a candidate open to working 1st OR 2nd shift.
- 1st shift Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
- 2nd shift Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm
- $16/hour plus any overtime worked
- Hands-on experience with shop equipment
- Training provided for various tasks

What you'll do as: Parts Washer
- Cleans parts prior to inspection
- Sandblasts parts to remove contamination
- Cuts, burns, and removes wires from motors
- Paints tools and machines
- Assists winding department with copper buckets
Work Experience
The preferred candidate might:
- Experience with forklift operation
- Knowledge of power washing equipment
- Ability to use cut-off saw and sandblaster
- Experience with crane operation
- Prior work in building maintenance
