Technicians will be installing emergency equipment and emergency lighting on all types of vehicles. These vehicles will be delivered to government agencies and companies throughout the Southeast. 12-volt experience preferred but is not required. This is a full-time position / 10-hour days (Monday-Thursday) with LARGE bonus incentives for completing extra installs outside of the normal 40-hour work week.
- Installation: Installing emergency vehicle equipment like light bars, sirens, radios, cameras, partitions, and consoles.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining installed equipment, including electrical systems, wiring, and components.
- Testing: Testing installed equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues with installed equipment.
- Modifications: Modifying vehicles to meet specific client requirements.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and modifications.
Work Experience
- Knowledge of Automotive Systems: Understanding of automotive electrical systems, wiring, and mechanical systems.
- Technical Skills: Ability to install, repair, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and accessing confined spaces.
- Experience: Some experience with automotive electrical systems or emergency vehicle installations is a plus.
- Certifications: EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician) or ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are preferred.
