What You'll Do as a Truck Loader / Forklift Material Handler:
- Safely operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes to transport and load materials.
- Construct skids and securely package products using tape measures, banding equipment, and nail guns to ensure they’re ready for transport.
- Locate and store materials in the inventory racking system for easy access.
- Prepare orders for shipment via common carriers, UPS, and customer pick-up.
- Match sales orders to shipping tags to ensure accuracy.
- Load finished products onto trucks to prevent shifting and damage.
- Assist trucks moving in and out of loading zones.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as needed.
Work Experience
The Preferred Candidate Will Bring:
- Safety first attitude
- Ability to read and understand English for work instructions
- Previous forklift experience and/or certification (side loader and overhead crane experience is a plus)
- Basic math skills (convert decimals & fractions, read tape measures/calipers)
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Willing to work required overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
