Onin Staffing is seeking an experienced UX Researcher in the Morrisville, NC area. This individual will conduct user research projects, with a focus on AR/VR, IoT, Collaboration, and AI, while supporting additional projects as needed.
- Pay rate: $62.50/hr
- Shift: Hybrid 3-2

What you'll do as a UX Researcher:
- Define, plan, and execute iterative user research activities across various products (hardware and software).
- Conduct multiple types of user research, including usability studies, concept evaluations, benchmarking, and heuristic evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose the best experiences for end users.
- Synthesize data using various analysis techniques (e.g., descriptive and inferential statistics, classification, clustering).
- Communicate research insights effectively through storytelling and ideation, including to international stakeholders.
Work Experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in User Experience Research, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, HCI/Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of proven experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research in an industry setting.
- Detail-oriented with a pragmatic approach and ability to keep the big picture in mind.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently within established strategic guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Growth mindset and desire to stay updated in UX, user research, and product design fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience evaluating hardware designs over time.
- Expertise in anthropometric data application for product development.
- Familiarity with AR/VR technologies and user testing research platforms.
- UX research experience in non-US markets.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
