What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Order Picker and Packer position at Onin Staffing?
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Entry-level warehouse associate to perform the following warehouse jobs; Picker, packer, box maker, palletizer, material handler, cross dock, and quality assurance.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Picks, packs, and handles materials for orders
Performs quality inspections on outgoing shipments
Processes all packages for shipments to include packaging, labeling, stacking, and palletizing
Maintains a safe, clean working environment
Participates in quality improvement processes
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Flexible, and able to move within entry-level warehouse positions
Acute attention to detail. • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Work Experience
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
One to two years of related experience
Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods of standing/walking
Occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 50lbs
Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl
Continually work near moving mechanical parts
Occasional loud noise
Occasional varying environmental temperature changes
