Assist in the set-up and operation of the pressOperating Equipment that runs most custom or base forms work, as well as high-speed single-color continuous/web presses. This includes ensuring that all materials are loaded correctly, adjusting settings as needed, and monitoring the press during operation to make any necessary adjustments for quality control.
Expected to perform manual setups and changeovers, ensuring that the press is set up efficiently and effectively for each job. This involves following detailed instructions for each specific job, coordinating with team members to streamline the process, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during setup.
Receiving hard copies and/or negatives and plates, shooting negatives, and further preparing the master copy are crucial tasks in the printing process. This requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
Proofing work is an essential step to ensure that the final product meets the client's specifications and quality standards. This involves carefully reviewing each piece for accuracy, consistency, and overall appearance before final production.
Completing minor maintenance and repairs on equipment is necessary to keep the press running smoothly and prevent any downtime. This includes routine cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting common issues to maintain optimal performance.
