What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applications Engineer position at OnLogic?
As a member of the Engineering Team at OnLogic, you live at the intersection of many stakeholders. You prioritize and execute simultaneous responsibilities autonomously, with the support of your team and management. On any given day, you may work directly with customers, partners, vendors, and colleagues in Sales, Production (Manufacturing), Technical Support, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, and Product Management. Each of these stakeholders brings unique perspectives and have different technical and communication needs. You bring all of that together to deliver excellent products, while building relationships internally and externally along the way.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to solve highly technical customer challenges and create system-level solutions that bridge computer, electrical, and software engineering disciplines. You are expected to drive solutions to conclusion
- Exhibiting your superior ability to prioritize concurrent tasks, manage your time, communicate project milestones, and execute to a plan
- Leveraging your ability to quickly and efficiently learn new processes and technologies
- Conducting testing and validation of new products for hardware, mechanical, and software compatibility
- Diagnosing field failures to their root causes, identifying potential improvements, and documenting your findings internally and externally, as appropriate
- Troubleshooting production issues (e.g. BOM errors, fitment problems, test failures) and owning the subsequent determination of root cause and creation of corrective action(s) to prevent recurrence
- Facilitating changes and customizations to customer BIOSes and owning all required testing to ensure correct implementation
- Proposing optimized solutions, based on your thorough requirements gathering with the customer and your deep application and portfolio knowledge
- Driving continuous improvement to optimize processes and minimize waste, both within your team and across the company

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical fields or equivalent experience
- Experience in computer manufacturing or related fields.
- Detailed knowledge of computer systems, components and operating systems
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop strong relationships with customers, team members and cross functional partners
- Ability to conceptualize, analyze, plan and organize projects with superior aptitude for managing time and shifting priorities.
- Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Exceptional ability to adapt to and drive change.
- Must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and seamlessly adjust to new situations, priorities, and demands
- Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

The salary range for this role is $70, 000 to $100,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
