They are looking for Tax Seniors, Tax Managers, Senior Tax Managers, and Partners to join their expanding team. Position Overview:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple client engagements and provide comprehensive tax solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members, preparing them for leadership roles.
- Lead engagement planning, organization, and execution to achieve productivity and goals.
- Oversee the preparation and issuance of tax returns, ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
- Hold team members accountable for meeting engagement objectives and deliverables.
- Communicate directly with clients, team members, management, and IRS representatives on tax matters.
- Manage client relationships, including billing, collections, and ensuring team profitability.
- Drive the development of a robust tax practice, including strategic planning and implementation.
- Lead business development initiatives in Chicago by meeting potential clients, preparing proposals, and assessing client needs.
- Oversee departmental knowledge of software, workflows, and processes to ensure operational efficiency.
- Support employee growth through training programs for new hires and ongoing professional development.
- Participate in consulting and special projects as needed.
- Report directly to the firms Managing Partner(s).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software.
- Proven ability to manage client and team relationships effectively.
- CPA certification (required).
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Tax (required).
- At least 8 years of tax compliance experience in a public or private CPA firm.
- Experience with financial statements for public or private companies.
