Position Overview:
We are looking for a part-time SAT Instructor. The role involves helping students improve their scores using effective strategies. Ideal candidates should have teaching or tutoring experience and a strong knowledge of SAT content and test-taking strategies.
Responsibilities:
Teach SAT Reading and Writing (ELA) sections, including critical reading, grammar, and writing skills.
Teach SAT Mathematics sections on an as-needed basis.
Develop customized lesson plans and provide engaging instruction that helps students build their skills.
Offer constructive feedback on student performance, including practice tests and homework assignments.
Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of students, focusing on areas for improvement.
Maintain a positive, motivating, and supportive learning environment.
Track and report student progress, providing periodic updates to students and parents (if applicable).
Stay up-to-date with any changes to the SAT format or content.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of the SAT Exam, including grammar, reading comprehension, essay writing, and mathematics.
Prior experience teaching SAT prep or working with students on standardized testing (preferred).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students in a remote or in-person setting.
A passion for helping students succeed and achieve their goals.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.
