What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutanix Engineer position at Onora Group?
We are seeking a skilled Nutanix Engineer for a twelve-month contract role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting Nutanix environments. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with Nutanix engineering, Nutanix Clusters, VMware, and Nutanix AHV.
This is a hybrid role at our client north of Atlanta, Georgia. Candidates must be local and in the office 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Nutanix infrastructure solutions.
- Configure and manage Nutanix Clusters to ensure optimal performance and availability. Including capacity management and forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support virtualization efforts using VMware and Nutanix AHV.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the Nutanix environment, providing timely solutions.
- Ensure data protection and disaster recovery processes are in place and functioning effectively.
- Document processes, configurations, and procedures to enhance team knowledge sharing.
- Integrating Nutanix critical alerts into customer ITSM database
- Stay current with Nutanix updates and best practices to optimize infrastructure performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Nutanix Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Nutanix Clusters and Nutanix AHV.
- Experience with VMware, including deployment and management.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Preferred Skills:
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or similar certification.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools to enhance system performance.
