Snow Mountain, LLC (Drakesbad Guest Ranch) is located in the spectacular Lassen Volcanic National Park. As one of the country's oldest national parks, Lassen is consumed with gorgeous hiking trails, picturesque lakes that afford sightseeing, fishing and kayaking, and cabins and campgrounds for those that want to experience the rustic feel of the beautiful outdoors!
Snow Mountain, LLC is seeking a Wrangler who can join our talented staff, and is willing to cross train and work in other guest service positions, to work at the Drakesbad Ranch location. This positions is for seasonal employment between the months of May and October. Affordable housing, if needed, is available.
Summary of Position:
Dedicated to providing the best possible experience for guests at Drakesbad Ranch by maintaining healthy horses and ensuring a safe riding environment through communication and guided instruction!
Responsibilities:
- Daily horse care, saddling and tack maintenance
- Greeting guests in a friendly manner and communicating effectively in a positive and supportive manner
- Assist guests with mounting/dismounting horses while educating about horse safety
- Encouraging a fun atmosphere while ensuring guest safety
- Lead guest rides with all age groups and abilities
- Actively foster a fun environment
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Must be willing to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs regularly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Experience:
Education: High School
Experience: 1 year wrangler experience
