Job Overview: The Human Resources Director leads the strategic planning, development, and management of the organization's human capital. This role is responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business goals, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The HR Director collaborates closely with executive leadership to drive organizational performance and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior management on human resource trends and strategic workforce planning.
Talent Management:
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
- Work with senior team to develop and implement employee development programs, including training, performance management, and succession planning.
Employee Relations:
- Cultivate a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution, open communication, and recognition programs.
- Manage employee engagement initiatives and oversee regular surveys to monitor workplace satisfaction.
- Address and resolve complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and fairness.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Design and manage competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive programs that support business goals.
- Analyze market trends and benchmark practices to ensure the organization remains competitive in attracting and retaining talent.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee risk management strategies related to employee safety, data privacy, and workplace ethics.
Organizational Development:
- Drive change management initiatives and support organizational restructuring efforts.
- Collaborate with leadership to design programs that enhance organizational performance and employee productivity.
- Utilize data-driven metrics to assess HR program effectiveness and guide continuous improvement.
HR Operations & Administration:
- Manage the HR department budget and allocate resources efficiently.
- Oversee HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR management experience with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in strategic HR planning, talent management, and organizational development.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
