JOB SUMMARY:
The Transportation Recruiter plays a crucial role in our organization by maintaining a diverse pool of qualified CDL candidates and managing the rosters of available employees/candidates to meet our clients' high volume staffing requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of the full-cycle recruitment process and the ability to develop an effective strategy to attract and evaluate qualified candidates. The timeliness, accuracy, problem-solving skills, and adaptability are key traits for success in this role. The Transportation Recruiter will be required to stay up to date on industry trends in order to improve skills, take on new challenges and deliver exceptional staffing solutions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multiple large employee/candidate rosters simultaneously to staff various projects.
- Develop effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions.
- Utilize diverse sourcing techniques to identify and engage potential candidates.
- Conduct comprehensive screening and evaluation of candidates to assess skills and qualifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing regular updates and feedback.
- Collaborate closely with clients and business unit leaders to understand staffing requirements and adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.
- Ensure all positions within the rosters are adequately staffed and promptly address any changes or updates.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Accurately document all recruitment activities.
- Handle sensitive employee documents and records confidential and according to company standards.
- Generate reports on recruitment metrics and provide insight for process optimization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.
- Organize and attend job fairs.
- May be required to work Overtime.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not hold any supervisory responsibilities.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: This position will be required to travel as needed for job fairs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a recruitment or HR environment.
- Experience in utilizing databases and systems to manage and track compliance-related information.
- Familiarity with transportation recruitment processes and DOT compliance regulations will be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and client needs.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with candidates, clients, and team members.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage high-volume recruitment activities.
- Proficiency in recruitment software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other relevant tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement solutions.
- Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Accurate Data Entry: Ability to perform accurate and efficient data entry with attention to detail.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage tasks, prioritize workload, and track candidate information.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and addressing discrepancies.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive problem-solving skills to identify issues and suggest improvements.
- Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
- Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
- Regular work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: Compensation is commensurate with experience.
