Patient Financial Specialist is responsible for patient collections, payment plans, working in conjunction with contracted collection agency, handling credit card disputes, and managing bankruptcy accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

- Patient Collections : Calling on outstanding patient accounts and setting up and managing payment plans
- Uploading and maintaining patient accounts in collection agency software
- Working collection agency patient disputes
- Bankruptcy
- Managing bankruptcy cases in Athena
- Follow OMG Policies and procedures including HIPAA, OSHA and PCI DSS. Maintain and follow strict privacy, confidentiality, and safety protocols. Comply with all government regulations around the following :
- Work within guidance of Billing Compliance Plan and billing guidelines.
- Other Administrative Duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Deliver faxes to billing department staff member when appropriate

Salary : $19 - $23 / hour
