Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced MEP Site Manager with a strong mechanical specialization to oversee mechanical systems’ implementation and ensure seamless project delivery of a mission critical data center site in Reno, NV.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Mechanical Systems Oversight
Lead and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems.Ensure that all mechanical work is executed according to design specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.Collaborate with design teams to review and validate mechanical designs, shop drawings, and specifications.2. Site Management
Manage day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflows and resolve on-site issues promptly.Monitor material deliveries and inventory to prevent delays in project timelines.3. Quality Assurance and Compliance
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure mechanical installations comply with project specifications, local codes, and safety regulations.Identify potential risks or issues in mechanical systems and implement corrective actions as necessary.Maintain detailed records of site activities, inspections, and mechanical systems testing.4. Communication and Reporting
Act as the primary point of contact for all mechanical-related aspects of the project.Provide regular progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.Prepare and present mechanical status reports, including any challenges and proposed solutions.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering AND a minimum of 8 years of construction experience OR a minimum 10 years of experience in MEP or related roles in lieu of a degree.5 years of experience managing mechanical systems in high-tech, semiconductor construction; data center construction projects preferredStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, as well as applicable codes and standards.Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.Familiarity with construction safety protocols and regulations.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection systems (e.g., LEED, ASHRAE) preferredStrong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.Employment Type : Full Time
