Job Description
onsemi is looking for a self-driven Reliability Labs Operations Manager to work in a fast-paced environment and be a key team member to accelerate adoption of cutting-edge semiconductor products and technologies. In this highly visible role, the candidate will establish new lab capabilities to support strategic development activities for onsemi’s Analog and Mixed Signal business group (AMG). This position will require a breadth of experience and leadership, including lab construction coordination, hiring, team leadership, strategic partnering with business stakeholders, and highest quality lab operations to provide timely data for product development decisions.
Responsibilities
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Device Physics, Materials Science, or relevant field In-depth knowledge of semiconductor and packaging fail mechanisms and their acceleration considerations Must be capable of working harmoniously and constructively with a broad range of internal partners, appropriately independent and self-driven, curious, and passionate about quality work Knowledge of, and direct experience with structured problem solving methods Strong written and verbal communication skills 10 years’ experience in a comparable role Willingness to travel (US domestic and international)

This position will require a breadth of experience and leadership, including lab construction coordination, hiring, team leadership, strategic partnering with business stakeholders, and highest quality lab operations to provide timely data for product development decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to ensure lab construction requirements are effectively communicated to all relevant stakeholders and assist in removing any barriers to having the lab completed and safely ready for operations by end of Q2 2025.
- Actively coordinate transfer and installation of reliability stress equipment from two labs that are consolidating into the Allen, TX location.
- Hire top quality engineering and technician talent (approximately 5 positions) over the coming 2-3 quarters to ensure operational readiness for stress operations.
- Establish ESD (electrostatic discharge) and Latchup stress capabilities as a certified center of excellence for product qualification.
- Work closely with engineering and business contacts from the Analog and Mixed Signal (AMG) business group, partner reliability stress labs, Product and Test Engineering, and Reliability Engineering team members to achieve objectives.
- Maintain accurate capacity forecasts and planning processes to ensure on-time delivery of services and availability of stress data per commitment.
- Track and publish relevant indicators for critical success parameters such as safety, capacity, quality, and throughput.
Position Requirements:
Desired Experience:
- Experience in working closely with design and development engineering
- Experience working with industrial, automotive, and/or AI customers and products
- Hands-on experience with reliability stress equipment
- Knowledge of semiconductor wafer fab and packaging
- Knowledge of semiconductor test principles and content
- Experience with JMP or other statistical tools for data analysis
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards – JEDEC, AEC, AQG, etc.
