Seeking a well-qualified and highly professional project manager to lead new product development projects for an onsemi business unit. The selected individual will be responsible for managing multiple programs that involve the development, qualification, and release of new products. This person will be experienced in leading cross-functional teams and meeting project deadlines to maximize the ROI for new product releases. You will be responsible to plan, budget, oversee, drive execution, and document all aspects of new product development projects. You will be responsible to collect key data, promptly communicate project status and highlight to management team when project objectives are not being met. Position requires managing performance in a dynamic environment, being flexible and having a “get the job done” attitude.
- Working in partnership with the Engineering Product Owner and Marketing Lead to drive the product development process : feasibility, planning, design, product validation, qualification, sampling, and product release
- Managing several development programs in parallel; developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, identifying and addressing gaps, and proactively assessing and mitigating risk throughout the execution.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure that development projects complete on schedule and within budget parameters
- Present project plans and status to executive management, appropriately framing status, issues, and options.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of the new product development process.
- Analysis of trends and check lists to determine health of projects. Ability to view data and determine where to focus and ask for assistance in removing roadblocks.
- 15 Years of experience in the semiconductor industry - managing new product development
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electronics or related experience.
- Project management experience or in roles with strong project management component.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Good financial acumen
- Proficient with Microsoft Project & MS-Office.
- Knowledgeable on 8D and RCCA processes.
- Flexible in changing market environments, customer oriented.
- Able to travel and attend morning or evening conference calls.
- Fluent in English
