This engineering position for development unique tests for IC technology is located at Gresham, OR. The ideal candidate will have experience with Wafer Level Reliability programs for power devices, advanced CMOS, RF devices, or related technologies. You will be expected to develop and implement both established and novel techniques for extrapolating lifetime of our devices. Your work will inform production and R&D teams on the status of product moving through our lines and will have broad impacts across all levels of the company. The position will involve strong design and analysis, as well as hands-on activities. You will be in the lab validating and improving your designs which will include running probe systems and conducting the initial programming of test equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor characterization techniques
- Knowledge of wafer level reliability methods and techniques, as well as demonstrated ability to implement and execute wafer level reliability projects. This can include experience from school, but will ideally be industry experience.
- Understanding of statistics, with a reliability focus, including lifetime modeling and extrapolation. This should include both software, such as JMP or Minitab, and the underlying mathematics.
- Ability to operate and program test equipment, including purpose-built characterization equipment, with the ability to customize setups to achieve application specific characterization
- Strong demonstrated ability to operate and program semiconductor automated wafer-level test equipment
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and own projects with little supervision, as well as possession of a “whatever it takes” mentality to ensure successful project execution.
- Ability to work in an uncertain environment. You will be on the leading edge of some problems, solving things that may not have been solved before.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with a thesis focus on semiconductor reliability, or strong industry experience in semiconductor reliability. B.S. and M.S. candidates with appropriate experience should not be discouraged from applying.
- Fundamental understanding of Power Semiconductor Devices, including MOSFETs and Diodes
- Demonstrated proficiency with of wafer level reliability testing and procedures for either wide bandgap semiconductors or for silicon or another established semiconductor material and a history of success in wafer level reliability projects.
- Development and implementation of established and novel techniques for wafer level reliability testing.
