SUMMARY:
onsemi is seeking a technology reliability leader to work in a fast-paced environment and be a key team member to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge Gallium Nitride (GaN) products and technologies. The candidate will collaborate with technology development teams, manage, and drive reliability programs focusing on GaN technologies. This role demands a proactive approach, strong device physics background, and effective communication skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Work closely with design, technology development, and device engineering groups to define intrinsic reliability test methodologies focused on early identification of reliability challenges during GaN technology development.
- Be a key stakeholder in technology development activities, driving strong design for reliability principles.
- Develop technology qualification plans and work with global reliability teams to ensure effective and timely execution of test plans.
- Create reliability models to predict device performance and lifetime.
- Facilitate structured problem-solving using industry-standard tools such as Is/Is-Not, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone, 5-why, and 8D methodology.
- Multitask and manage several qualifications simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related discipline.
- 5 years of work experience in GaN device physics (SiC experience is preferred).
- Experience with JEDEC JC70 committee standards and activities.
- More than 10 years’ experience in semiconductor device reliability, device design, device engineering, and/or process development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to challenge ideas constructively.
- Fundamental understanding of Weibull distribution, SPC, DOE methodology, and the science related to semiconductor fab processes, inspection, and failure analysis.
- Statistical analysis skills, with experience in JMP or other statistical tools for data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse teams across different time zones.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Strong technical problem-solving and program management skills.
