As a Valet Attendant, you are the first and last person patients and guests see during their visit, which allows you to make positive first and last impressions. In this role, you will welcome the patients & guests, and park and retrieve their vehicles. Alongside your fellow team members, you will help elevate the patient experience!

- MercyOne Hospital West Entrance in Des Moines, IA
Hours of Operation
- Monday to Friday
- 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Position Overview
- Greet and welcome guests to the healthcare facility
- Assist guests by opening doors, exiting cars, handling luggage, wheelchairs/walkers, and assisting with entering or exiting the facility
- Park and retrieve guests' vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following driving best practices and obeying traffic laws
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with all patients, guests, and team members
- Answer guests' questions regarding medical offices or department locations.

Position Requirements
- Between 19 - 65 years of age (per company insurance policy)
- Possesses a good driving record and a valid, in-state driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, paying attention to surroundings and details
- Ability to work in a stationary position for hours at a time in an outdoor environment
- Ability to move with urgency and speed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to effectively build relationships with patients, guests, and team members
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Drive a manual transmission (not required but a plus)
